Being introduced to the team behind NICCI, we were more than pleased to take up the challenge of creating a brandmark for the social organization. The NICCI team was/is led by Dr. Bhawna Sirohi – the brainchild behind the NGO, who had recently returned from abroad as a cancer specialist.
The brief was quite simple: we need a pink logo for our social organization. It doesn’t seem like much now but, sitting across from the table, with the gleaming look in Bhawna’s eyes we could see the vision she had – in her mind’s eye- for NICCI.
What followed were various experiments of creativity stretching. This experimentation enabled us for what we were going to do next. To be sensitive to all types of cancer and become female-friendly.
Simplicity was the answer. We created a circle of people, huddle together, holding hands by using an already exiting symbol. The results became colourful in a meaningful way. Each colour specifies a type of cancer and therefore would be emphasized as per the need of the day.
We also created cool colourful merchandise for the charity to be gifted and used in their offices across India.
